Blog Tour & Giveaway : What’s Your WINNER’S CURSE? Novel by Marie Rutkoski

WinnersCurse BlogTour

I’m thrilled to be a part of Fierce Reads’ WHAT’S YOUR WINNER’S CURSE? Blog Tour.

The “Winner’s Curse” is an economics term that means you’ve gotten what you wanted . . . but at too high a price. In honor of Marie Rutkoski’s Winner’s Trilogy, bloggers talk about their own personal “Winner’s Curse!”

Here’s mine:

Without a doubt, I’d pay “too high price” to talk to and spend a day my Grandma Lena and my Grandpa Jack – not through a medium – but through some mystical veil. Obviously, this doesn’t exist. Except I have an imagination that wishes it were true. There isn’t a day that doesn’t go by when I’m not thinking about my grandparents. When they were alive, I spoke with them nearly every day and saw them at least once a week. They were a staple in my life. I miss them. And even though I believe that our loved ones watch over us, it would be AMAZING to spend quality time with them. My grandparents were filled with tremendous wisdom, plus I felt so loved and cherished by them. They took a great deal of pride in me and the rest of their grandchildren.

I wanted to be a part of this blog tour because I LOVE these books and they’re definitely on my “Best Books of the Year” List:

I’d pay a lot for travel to see friends who are far away!

I have a US address but rafflecopter might show my location outside US because I’m doing a semester abroad

thank you so very much 🙂

I would pay almost anything to not have chronic pain issues.

If we’re talking material things: a high quality pair of headphones, and a reading nook with a window seat and shelves. The big one for me is health. A lot of my cousins have been getting terminal illnesses (a few have died) in the past 3 years or so, and it’s really scary, so not having to worry about health would be fantastic.

In terms of OBJECTS, I spend way too much money on books and places to PUT my books. More in keeping with what the term actually means, I would pay almost anything for the safety, happiness, and security of me and my loved ones. Living with continuing uncertainty, whether it be money, or employment, or something completely different, that doubt is awful, so I really value a feeling of security.

Def macaroons esp pistachio macaroons. There I was one day at whole foods, looking around while my mother shopped. I spotted the macaroons, they were so cute, colorful and I wanted to try one. The lady let me try every flavor; I bless and curse her! Next thing I knew I bought $40 worth of the mouthwatering cookies! 🙁 So good!! So expensive!!!!
